Responsibilities

• Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets to secure media coverage for the organization or clients.
• Press Releases: Write, edit, and distribute press releases to announce important company news, events, or product launches.
• Media Monitoring: Monitor news coverage, social media mentions, and online conversations about the organization or industry to gauge public sentiment and identify potential issues.
• Crisis Communication: Assist in developing and implementing crisis communication strategies and handling media inquiries during crises or sensitive situations.
• Content Creation: Create and edit written and visual content for press kits, media pitches, and other PR materials.
• Event Planning: Collaborate with event managers to plan and execute PR-related events, such as press conferences or media briefings.
• Social Media Management: Manage and update the organization’s or client’s social media profiles, sharing news and engaging with followers.
• Brand Messaging: Ensure consistent and cohesive messaging across all PR materials and channels to maintain a strong brand image.
• Publicity Strategy: Assist in the development of PR strategies and campaigns to promote the organization’s objectives and manage PR budgets.
• Measurement and Reporting: Track and analyze PR metrics, such as media mentions, share of voice, and sentiment analysis, and prepare reports to evaluate PR effectiveness.

Event Manager:

• Event Planning: Plan, coordinate, and execute events, including conferences, trade shows, product launches, fundraisers, and corporate meetings.
• Budget Management: Create and manage event budgets, allocate resources effectively, and track expenses to ensure events stay within budget.
• Venue Selection: Research and select suitable venues based on event requirements, capacity, location, and budget considerations.
• Logistics Management: Handle logistical aspects such as catering, transportation, audiovisual equipment, signage, and security.
• Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Liaise with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate contracts, secure services, and ensure they meet event specifications.
• Guest List and RSVPs: Manage guest lists, invitations, and RSVPs, ensuring a smooth check-in process at the event.
• Marketing and Promotion: Develop marketing and promotional strategies to attract attendees, including designing event materials, creating online registration forms, and utilizing various marketing channels.
• On-Site Management: Oversee event setup, coordinate staff and volunteers, and manage any unexpected issues or emergencies during the event.
• Post-Event Evaluation: Evaluate event success by collecting feedback from participants, analyzing event metrics, and preparing post-event reports.
• Sponsorship and Partnerships: Identify potential sponsors and partners for events, negotiate sponsorship agreements, and maintain relationships with sponsors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in PR coordination and event management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in media relations and building relationships with journalists.
• Creativity and the ability to develop innovative PR and event concepts.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their integration into PR campaigns.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
