Job Title: General Manager, Power Plant

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies that aim to achieve cost-efficient and effective operations of the Power Plant.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and control the operations of the Power Plant while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Oversee the schedules and manage the performance of the Power Plant personnel to ensure the smooth execution of operations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as suppliers, contractors, and other relevant parties.
• Monitor and ensure that the Power Plant operates within its budget, and report on any variances.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all activities are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
• Promote a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, communication, and employee growth.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Plant Director from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 21 years experience in Gas Turbine based power plants Instrumentation maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of power plant operation and maintenance, preferably in combined cycle plants with gas turbines.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing budgets.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proactive and able to work under pressure.
• Candidates must be willing to work in any of the Plant locations across Nigeria.
