Job Title: Junior Account Officer

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills, and supporting documentation.
• Maintaining accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt, and gathering appropriate signatures.
• Create and submit reports on your activities on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Updating financial records via accounting software.
• Preparing quarterly budget under the purview of senior management.
• Analyzing financial statements and preparing balance sheets.
• Keep accounts receivable٫ accounts payable and issue invoices up to date.
• Manage accounting journals entries tracking all business transactions whenever needed.
• Review and update financial data in databases keeping them accurate٫ relevant and fully accessible by request
• Participate in reviewing necessary procedures including expenses٫ payroll records and so on.
• Participate in organizing balance sheets٫ income statements and other relevant financial documentation following the company’s guidelines.
• Help senior accountants with other kinds of accounting operations.

Requirements

• B.Sc or BA Degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant areas; relevant qualifications such as ACA٫ ACCA ICAN or ATS will be a bonus.
• 2 – 3 years experience working in a Junior Accountant position.
• Experience with basic accounting and financial practices.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and popular accounting software (such as SAP).
• Strong team player skills with close attention to detail.
• Good analytical٫ numerical and presentational skills.

Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 monthly
