We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Accounting

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and champion the articulation and development of the overall financial strategy and ensure alignment with the company’s corporate strategy, business goals and objectives.
• Contribute to the formation of the Business Strategy and ensures the establishment of sound financial policies and procedures.
• Support the investment initiatives of the business by appraising investments and advising on the viability of the proposed initiatives.
• Direct corporate budget planning and forecasts.
• Ensure accounting processes conforms with all applicable organisational policies and IFRS standards.
• Review working capital/cash flow requirement on a regular basis.
• Provide financial direction to the business on short term and long-term financial goals.
• Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the accounts department and ensure alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the company.
• Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, salaries, ledger, and account maintenance.
• Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all audit and compliance issues are resolved.
• Prepare financial statements, financial reports, special analysis, and management accounting reports.
• Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
• Develop and implement management strategies for the company’s financial risks.
• Develop and implement strategies to efficiently manage the company’s current and future tax liabilities.
• Coordinate the preparation and compilation of agreed periodic activities and financial performance reports.
• Review and authorise key expenditures/transactions for the business in line with approved authority limit.
• Drive business improvement initiatives such as improved enterprise cost reduction, procurement, pricing execution and other process improvements and innovations that add value to the company.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for the company’s financial activities.
• Coordinate and manage the activities of accountants in all business locations.
• Payroll and utilities processing.
• Ensure compliance with internal control policies and collaborate with external auditors for successful audit results and compliance.
• Budget management.

Role Requirements

• B.Sc in Accounting
• ICAN Certification
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role
• Experience in similar management level role.
• Experience in real estate or facilities management is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and numeric skills.
• Ability to effectively coordinate teams accross different locations.
• Proficiency with the use of accounting softwares and excel.
• Must reside in Abuja

Remuneration
N250,000 – N350,000 Monthly.
