Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

• Looking to bring on board a Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience to be responsible for handling our company’s ongoing projects.
• You will be working closely with exceptional team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
• Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans.
• To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead project teams of various sizes.
• A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a huge advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the SM, Business Operations and SM Business Strategy to manage projects and other initiatives
• Assist to determine and define project scope and objectives
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time o Daily progress checks with initiative owners o Periodic 1:1 sessions with each initiative owner
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and plan
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various key stakeholders and progress
• Assist with content preparation: Bi-weekly steerco document for ongoing projects and Periodic project reports
• Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as needed
• Determine and define project scope and objectives
• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Prepare a budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
• Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals
• Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
• Use and continually develop leadership skills
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field
• 5 – 8 years of project management and related experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
