Job Description

• Our client is looking to take on a Wholesale and Retail Trade Manager in their Lagos office.
• Retail and wholesale trade managers plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of establishments that sell merchandise or services on a retail or wholesale basis

Main Duties
Wholesale and Retail Trade Manager will perform some or all of the following duties:

• Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of establishments engaged in wholesale and retail sales or of departments in the organisation
• Manage staff and assign duties
• Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors’ operations on sales
• Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies
• Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale
• Develop and implement marketing strategies
• Plan budgets
• Resolve customer complaints
• Determine staffing requirements and hire or oversee hiring of staff.
• Determining product mix, stock levels and service standards
• Promoting and advertising the establishment’s goods and services
• Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
• Undertaking budgeting for the establishment
• Controlling selection, training and supervision of staff
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• A University Degree or HND in Business Administration or other management field.
• 3-5 years of related retail sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility are required.

Salary
N120,000 – N150,000 / month.
