They provide their clients (including visitors to their website) with up to date business, investing and financial information from Africa’s largest economy. They also have a consulting arm that provides bespoke financial management services to clients.

Job Title: Head of Research and Content Publication

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Description

• Responsible for publishing financial, economic, and business articles, reports and other content forms for Nairametrics digital assets, reporting into the Editorial Board.

Responsibilities

• Develop content streams for stock market, fixed income, economic and other businesses related news forms.
• Oversee all content creation and publication on all Nairametrics broadcast platforms.
• Approve stories for publishing and final copies.
• Oversee the publication of research reports, articles, review, editorials and analysis.
• Supervise all copy editing, proof reading and overseeing processes leading to news article publications.
• Create and enforce deadlines to articles, research and all other content submissions and publications.
• Responsible for Desgin and Implement of Editorial Polices (e.g. approach to Breaking news, Headlines, Content Format, etc)
• Enforce policies, presentation style and tone for editorial articles.
• Seek content partnerships with freelancers, independent reporters and journalists.
• Develop a database of news sources for Nairametrics.
• Manage Budget for content creation, editing and pulishing.
• Managment staff-editorial and writers which could incoude contributing writers
• Assist in building a world class editorial team of writers/analysts in our area of news and analysis coverage.
• Any other responsibility as may be assigned by the Editorial Board.

Requirements

• B.Sc / M.Sc Degree
• 10+ years working experience in research, research publication, financial media, journalism, advertising or related domains.
• 5 years in Senior Management Position.
• Advanced understaning of the workings of final markets
• Experienced in matters of the economy, local and global polities
• Research Publication and research abilities
• Working knowledge of online media platforms
• Organisational and leadership skills
• Expereience in digital media is an advantage.
• Proficeincy with analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel
• Ability to build influential relationships with editorial leaders.

Salary and Benefits

• N350,000 – N400,000 Monthly (negotiable)
• Occational remote working.
