We are building a one-stop online learning and tutoring platform to help K-12 learners in Africa access high quality education. The company has in-country operations in the UK and Nigeria.

Job Title: Subject Matter Expert

Description

• We are looking for Subject Experts in the following subjects below:
  • English Language
  • Biology
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
• We are particular about the best and the brightest people passionate about education, who will play key roles in teams of education innovators designing the future of how Africans will learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop and record solutions for thousands of questions across competitive/non competitive, syllabus and homework. Solutions will be in multiple formats including video, text and audio.
• Develop the lesson plans through which we conceptualise Edukoya’s learning material, competitive/non-competitive exam prep solutions and homework solutions.
• Develop & Review solutions, story scripts, quizzes, videos, lessons, and games and ensure all content meets pedagogical objectives and is age-appropriate.
• Collaborate with the internal team to come up with fresh and creative ways of developing material.
• Research grade-appropriate material, children’s literature.
• Participate in rigorous peer review processes with the goal of improving the quality and pedagogical creativity of the product.
• Participate in multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
• Stay abreast of education trends and best practices.
• Provide subject vision and lead the subject team to meet goals and hit monthly KPI’s.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Subjects area or other relevant study areas. (Preferred – Graduated with first class honours)
• Msc in Subject area is an added advantage
• Honesty, integrity and an excellent work ethic.
• Strong problem solving and communication abilities.
• Excited by and open to new ideas and new ways of doing things.
• Flexibility with a strong sense of ownership for work.
• The ability to write clearly and concisely.
• Coordination and time management skills.
• 2+ years of teaching experience.
• A thorough understanding of preferred subject across all levels of primary and secondary education.
• Proficiency with Computers, Google Cloud, MS Word, and similar tools.
