Overview

• Turing.com is looking to hire a Software Development Engineer (Test) on behalf of an industry-leading video streaming platform providing OTT content in multiple countries.
• The engineer will be primarily responsible for writing clear, concise, and comprehensive software test cases. The platform is operating in up to 6+ countries with over 300 million users. Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing back-end tools or frameworks to test Rest APIs, microservices, data migration, failover scenarios, and blue-green deployment
• Leverage advanced coding skills to quickly and efficiently solve problems that may arise
• Build distributed system for performance and scale testing
• Perform tasks assigned to the team by implementing Linux commands and shell scripts based on your knowledge of building and publishing POCs.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 2 – 5 years of experience in software QA methodologies, tools, and Agile/Scrum development process
• Only candidates with 3+ years of experience are eligible for this role
• Sound expertise in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Proven track record with both white box and black box testing and with automated testing tools
• Proficiency with Java/Python and/or any scripting languages
• Good understanding of OOPs concepts, REST APIs, and their usage
• Must be well versed in build release and deployment flow especially in iOS & Android
• Experience with performance and/or security testing will be a plus
• Solid understanding of the REST APIs, request-response structures, error and status codes
• Good knowledge of SQL and scripting along with DevOps activities
• Experience in working or testing with distributed and big data solutions and mid-tier caches, such as Aerospike, DynamoDB, Elastic Search, Hadoop, Cassandra, Kafka
• Experience with Amazon AWS or similar cloud providers
• Experience in industry best practices in SW development processes: Unit testing, OO design, code reviews, etc.
