More details about the 8-digit keys introduce by the Joint Administration Matriculation Board (JAMB) with other useful information about the 2017 CBT UTME Exams.
The Joint Administration Matriculation Board (JAMB) formally introduced the 8-Digit key device for the 2017 JAMB CBT exams, which was confirmed that it was used during the past mock exam held on Saturday.
For those who wrote the 2017 mock exams, atleast they have already gained experience. But those who were not opportuned to write below are the information you must know about the newly introduced device;
JAMB CBT 8-DIGIT KEY DEVICE
The use of 8 keys without a mouse was introduced by JAMB to make this year 2017 CBT friendly for candidates.
The 8 keys are;
1. A → represents the A option (for choosing option A in response to questions)
2. B → represents the B option (for choosing option B in response to questions)
3. C → represents option C (for choosing option C in response to questions)
4. D → for selecting option D (for choosing option D in response to questions)
5. P → represents Previous (going back to the previous question)
6. N → represents Next (going forward to the next question)
7. S → represents Submit (to submit the exam) remember to avoid this key if you have not finished with your exams.
8. R → represents Reverse (to reverse an action or to return back)
Candidates should also be aware that JAMB has reduced the number of question to be answered in the 2017 UTME Exams.
JAMB CBT QUESTIONS FORMAT
Since the questions has been reduced that means you have to calculate your timing in answering each question, in other to finish in time and leave the CBT Centre filled with joy.
I have come up with a new method which is time efficient, because you need to manage your time, so you won’t be pressured and to be more comfortable in answering the questions.
JAMB Questions = 180
Time = 2hrs
English = 60 Questions, Time = 40 mins
2nd Subject= 40 Questions, Time = 27 mins
3rd Subject= 40 Questions, Time = 27 mins
4th Subject= 40 Questions, Time = 26 mins
Total of 120 mins = 2 hrs
My suggestion to all jamb candidates is to use 40 secs on each question during your exams, what do you think?
If you have other good suggestions you can imply it to avoid being a victim of time.
Remember always manage your time well, be in control of time and don’t be much in a hurry to answer any question cause of time constraint, don’t be pressured, always be at ease.
That is why it is required for you to prepare very well, before you write on your exams.
Best of luck!
