After a great setback caused by the paucity of fund, the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has assured prospective Corps members that thesuspended 2016 Batch ‘A ‘ Stream II orientation course will commence soon.

NYSC authority, in a statement obtained by THE BRIEF, said this is a conveyance of the assurance received from the Federal Government, which has promised release of funds for the exercise.

NYSC Head of Press Unit, Mrs. Abosede Aderibigbe in Abuja on Saturday, said the scheme advised the would-be Corps members to be on the look out for the new date which will soon be announced.

The statement reads in part: “The NYSC management wishes to inform prospective Corps members that, based on the assurance received from the Federal Government regarding release of funds, the 2016 Batch ‘A’ (Stream II) Orientation course will commence soon.

“Prospective Corps members are, therefore, requested to watch out for specific date for commencement of the exercise, which will be announced as soon as all necessary logistics are put in place.

“Management empathises with the affected prospective Corps members, and appeals for continued patience even as all efforts on the matter are fast yielding results.”
