The Kano Government has approved more than N18million for the purchase and distribution of JAMB forms for prospective candidates in the State.

The state Commissioner for Information, Mr Muhammad Garba, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the state’s Executive Council Meeting in Kano on Thursday

He said the council had also approved more than N90 million for the renovation of three office blocks at the Audu Bako Secretariat.

Garba added that the council approved more than N32 million for 1,130 flood victims in the state.

The commissioner also said N142 million was approved by the council for the renovation of Government Secondary School, Albasu.

He said that the state government would inaugurate a committee to assess the level of infrastructure in all the schools.

The commissioner reiterated the government’s determination to develop infrastructure as part of initiatives to improve the welfare of the people. (NAN)
