The President-elect General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) has been urged to make as a priority, the welfare of Nigerian citizens during his tenure which commences May 29, 2015.
This was coming from the President of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Ali Wali on behalf of Nigerian Students.
He described the victory of the president-elect at the poll as the fruit of resilience and determination while calling on him to give special attention to the nation’s education sector which he described as the bed rock of success for any nation.
In his words, “We want to on behalf of Nigerian students congratulate the president-elect and peoples president, General Muhammadu Buhari for this victory at the last election.
“Your victory is no doubt the result of your self-belief, determination, resilience and above of all your love for your country.
“We know the tasks ahead are many and challenging but we know you and your in-coming team are up to the task. We want to use this medium to charge you to make the welfare of Nigerians your priority as you take over the mantle of leadership of this country on May 29.
“Our economy which is in a comatose must be revived and the standard of living of the common man on the street who queued in the sun and rain to give you this mandate must be improved.”
