Job Purpose

• The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the school’s daily operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient environment conducive to learning.
• This role combines operational management with accounting and administrative responsibilities, requiring a versatile individual who can manage resources, support staff, and maintain financial oversight.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the school, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facilities management to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
• Staff Support: Collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance operational efficiency and address any challenges that arise.
• Financial Oversight: Manage the school’s budget, including monitoring expenses, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Accounting Functions: Perform accounting duties such as invoicing, and maintaining accurate financial records; coordinate with external auditors when necessary.
• Administrative Duties: Monitor administrative tasks, including maintaining pupil records, managing enrollment processes, and ensuring compliance with standard regulations.
• Policy Implementation: Collaborate with Human Resources to implement operational policies and procedures that will improve efficiency and effectiveness in school management.
• Parents Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents and address inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Data Management: Utilize data to inform decision-making, track performance metrics, and support strategic planning efforts.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that the school adheres to health, safety, and educational standards; conduct regular audits and assessments.
• Required to work collaboratively across teams to achieve its objectives.

Qualifications and Experience required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in school operations, administration, and accounting.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of educational regulations and compliance requirements.
