Job Title: Lead Counsel, Corporate Litigation

Location: Nigeria

Job Objectives

• Liaise with agencies such as the EFCC, ICPC, DSS, and the Nigeria Police to ensure the protection of NNPC’s interest and guide staff on engagements with the Agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with agencies such as the EFCC, ICPC, DSS, and the Nigeria Police in matters involving NNPC.
• Provide guidance to staff on engagements with the Agencies.
• Keep proper records of all investigations and engagements with the Agencies.
• Monitor progress and update of Sensitive cases.
• Handle cases identified for settlement.

Educational Qualification

• A University Degree in Law; Barrister at Law (BL) qualification is a must
• Professional qualification and membership of relevant professional body is required e.g. NBA.

Experience:

• Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.

Competence:

• Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry regulations.
• Case management skills.
• Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution skills.
• Legal drafting skills.
• Legal case handling, analytics, and advisory skills.
• Legislation interpretation skills.
• Oil and Gas industry Knowledge.
