Job Title: Head of Agriculture Input Sales

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Purpose

• To meet input sales goals and targets, develop suitable plans and strategies, coordinate sales activities, and efficiently distribute input products to B2B and B2C customers and farmers, surpassing sales objectives in a cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reports to track performance and ensure profitability.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for each financial year.
• Organize the sales force and the sales activities to ensure continuous improvement of input sales performance and sales volumes.
• Allocate sales volume and other objectives to the National & Area Sales Manager in line with the overall objective to ensure targets are achieved within the approved timeframe.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s market presence and customer base.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maximize performance and productivity.
• Review sales report and provide adequate information to guide production planning and management decision process

Qualifications / Experience

• B.Sc. / HND in Agriculture and Crop Production. Knowledge of extension services is an advantage.
• MBA will be an added advantage.
• At least 10 years cognate experience.
• Have an excellent verbal and written communication skill.
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Analytical ability to ensure accurate sales forecasting.
• Possess great critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
• Have an in-depth Agri products knowledge and the ability to clearly communicate value propositions to customers and sales team.
• Hands-on experience in the sales department of an established manufacturing company or Agric input company covering sales, merchandising and customer service management.
